1930 GIVEN CHANCE FOR CRIMSON TODAY

Will be Last Chance for Sophomores and First for Freshmen--Competition to Last Nine Weeks

At 7:30 o'clock tonight at the Crimson building, members of the class of 1930 will have their initial opportunity to enter the competition for the Business Board of the Crimson. Sophomores are also eligible for the nine weeks' test period that will open with tonight's meeting. This will be the last chance for Business candidates from the second-year class.

Work in the early stages of the competition will mainly consist of the soliciting of advertisements and subscriptions. A certain amount of office work gives the candidate practical experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and other routine details in the handling of a business organization.

With an annual business of $50,000, the Crimson offers an exceptional field of experimentation for undergraduates who are contemplating a business career after leaving college. Former Business Editors are loud and sincere in their praise of the value of the competition and the work of the members of the Board in the development of practical business ability.

Successful candidates are eligible for the position of assistant business manager in their Junior year, and that of business manager in their Senior year. These men have all the responsibilities and face in miniature the same problems as the business heads of a large metropolitan daily.

Business Manager J. L. Prescott '27 will outline the duties of the candidates at the meeting tonight. Work will begin at once, and it is hoped that the competition may be brought to an end before the April vacation.
