FULLER APPOINTS GOODWIN TO CIVIL SERVICE VACANCY

E. H. Goodwin '95 was appointed to the position of commissioner at the Department of Civil Service by Governor A. T. Fuller yesterday, to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Payson Dana '04.

Goodwin received his degree of Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Leipzig. Germany after he graduated from the Harvard Graduate School Since then he has been assistant secretary and secretary, of the National Civil Service Reform League and the New York Civil Service Reform Association.

In Civil work he has covered practically the entire United States. He was also general secretary and vice president of the Chamber of Commerce of the United States.
