Response to the bills sent out by the Budget Committee of the Student Council for the unpaid amount of its fund and which were due on November 30, has been noticeably lax, according to C. H. Pforzheimer '28, chairman of the committee, who stated that less than half of the bills due has been paid and that the various activities supported from the fund need their apportionments immediately.
The Budget as drawn up by the Student Council calls for the disbursement of the $12,000 pledged. Of this amount $5000 was collected during registration at the opening of College. The rest of the total was represented by promises of the students to pay their pledges before December 1. Returns have been very slow and unless the speed with which they are reaching the committee increases markedly, both the Student Council and the other organizations supported by the fund will be forced to carry on their activities under financial embarrassment.
