A weak Brown eleven was easily defeated by the University booters at Soldiers Field on Saturday by a score of 3 to 1.
Playing with the wind at its back in the first quarter the University eleven, made up partly of second string men, was unable to score but at the beginning of the second half with its full strength on the field the Crimson team sent the ball into the net twice in succession. W. R. Daniellian '28 accounted for the first of these scores while L. L. Driggs '28 made the second while the third marker came in the last period when P. T. Haskell '28 evaded the Brown backs and shot the ball into the net.
The air tight defense of the Crimson fullbacks was the outstanding feature of the game.
The summary: Score--Harvard 3, Brown 1. Goals--Driggs, Daniellian, Haskell, Maleady, Referee--Dougherty. Time--Four 22-minute halves.
