MEETING OF PLAYERS TO INITIATE SQUASH SEASON

University Courts to Be Scene of First Gathering at 5:30 Today--Squad Lacks Experienced Material

With a meeting this afternoon at 5:30 o'clock the upperclassmen in the University who are interested in Squash racquets, the 1927-28 squash season will be officially opened. Coach Harry Cowles and Captain J. L. Pool '28 will address the candidates and outline plans for the year at the gathering which will be held in the University squash courts.

For three successive years the University has won the National Team championship and for four years the State championship. As Captain Pool is the only man back from last year's combination. Coach Cowles is faced with the problem of building a team around him from the second and class team material.

In addition to league play a trip to New York is being arranged for the Christmas vacation During this time teams will play against the Harvard Club of New York and the Rockaway Hunt Club.

The fall college tournament will being the end of this week and entries for it are now being made at the university squash courts
