H. L. Holland '28 has been chosen leader of the University Band for the coming season. Holland led the musicians in their first public appearance at the Vermont football game in the Stadium ten days ago, after only two rehearsals of the group.
Of the 125 candidates who reported at the beginning of the year, 75 have been retained and are reporting for practice regularly. Except for the leader, the officers for the year are: S. S. Ganz '28, manager; J. M. Slade '28, treasurer; G. E. Mahlert '30, librarian; and W. E. Roys '29, secretary.
Until after the football season, no definite plans for the remainder of the year will be made, but a trip during the Christmas vacation is being contemplated.
