Figures recently released by the University show an increased enrolment over last year, the total number of students registered up to the first four days after the opening of college being 7785, against 7749 at the same time last year.
There is an increase of approximately four per cent in all classes of the College except the Sophomore Class, which shows a falling off of almost twice that figure.
The Law School is by far the largest of the Graduate schools, having an enrolment of 1508, which is markedly greater than that of a year ago.
In spite of the fact that Harvard was founded as a theological college, that department shows steady decrease in numbers, while the Business School is rapidly growing.
