A game with the University of Virginia, scheduled for April 19 at Charlottesburg, Va., completes the program of the busiest spring trip ever undertaken by a Crimson baseball team.
During their southern jaunt in the third week in April the University diamond warriors will play six consecutive games against powerful opposition. This will be the first year that a nine has undertaken six battles in a row.
The teams whose fields Coach Mitchell's charges will visit include some of the top-notch aggregations in the East. William and Mary, which heads the list, trounced the Crimson 14 to 0 in their last meeting several years ago. The Navy, Georgetown, and Catholic University produce strong combinations each year.
The complete spring trip schedule follows: April 18, William and Mary at Williamsburg; April 19, Virginia at Charlottesburg; April 20, Navy at Annapolis; April 21, Georgetown at Washington; April 22, Catholic University at Washington; April 23, Columbia at New York.
The Virginia game is subject to the approval of the Committee for the Regulation of Athletic Sports, which meets February 7.
