Holy Cross will be favored to defeat the University baseball tean at Fitton Field in Worcester when the Crimson and Purple clash in the second and final game of the series today. Any college team playing the Crusaders is the underdog these days, and with one victory over Harvard already to its score the Worcester nine will be doubly favored in the game that is scheduled to get under way at 3 o'clock this afternoon.
Booth to Pitch Today
Coach Mitchell has decided to save Barbee for the third Princeton game on Saturday, and will send Booth against the Purple batters this afternoon. Possibly the Crimson mentor's choice was influenced by dispatches from Princeton that indicate that the Tigers will send Kellogg, conqueror over the Crimson two weeks ago at Soldiers Field, against Yale in the opening of the Princeton-Yale series in New Haven today.
Dobbins Probably Starts
For Holy Cross, either Dobbins or Fons will be on the mound. Fons, though only a Freshman, has comfortably filled the shoes left vacant by the graduation into professional baseball of Carroll, and has borne the major pitching burden for the Crusaders since the injury of Davidson early in the season. His latest triumph was registered at the expense of the strong Boston College nine.
