The Eastern Intercollegiate Newspaper Association at its recent meeting voted to support the National Student Federation in any attempt the latter might make to establish an international student news service. The fact that the college newspapers are in favor of such an innovation and that the Federation is thinking of it is interesting.

The news printed by most college papers is entirel local. Of course, there are exceptions, such as the Cornell Sun which has assumed the proportions and position of a metropolitan paper. In general, however, it is true that except when news about the team of an athletic opponent is published, the news is confined within the college or university boundaries.

Inasmuch as the relations of an undergraduate paper to the collegiate world should be the same as those of a metropolitan journal to the world at large, the I. N. A.'s action toward increasing the scope of student journalism is significant.
