YALE CHAPEL AUTHORITIES TO ARBITRATE PEACEFULLY

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Yale has made definite plans for organizing religious work under the system of optional attendance at chapel next year. It has been voted to suspend all classroom exercises from 10.30 to 11 o'clock each morning except Saturday so that a service may be held.

The services will be led by chaplains, with special music and occasional addresses by members of the Faculty and distinguished visitors. There will be three-minute talks by the chaplains. The services will be limited to fifteen minutes.

Professor Tweedy has been asked to serve as acting pastor for the first half of the coming year. A permanent college pastor will be appointed some time in the fall.
