RINDGE TECHNICAL VICTOR AS PUBLIC SCHOOL EIGHTS RACE

Will Battle With Private School Crews Tomorrow

Rindge Technical School's eight-oared crew triumphed on the Charles yesterday afternoon in the first regatta held by the the new Schoolboy Rowing Association.

The race was the feature event of the regatta, which replaced the annual schoolboy races in the Harvard Invitation Regatta, abolished this spring. In the other race yesterday, for private school second fours. Belmont Hill defeated Noble and Greenough by four feet over the mile course.

Tomorrow afternoon, Rindge will race against a fleet of private school eights, with the winner to be named scholastic champion. The members of the winning eight on Thursday will be given medals donated by the Harvard, Athletic Association.
