COACH BROWN PICKS HIS SECOND EIGHT

First Boat Practices Starting With Old Line-Up--Blue Second and 1929 Boats Undergo Shifts

Redtop, Conn., June 10, 1926. Coach Brown today picked the crew that it is believed will represent the University in the Junior race against Yale on June 24. It includes Watts, stroke; Walcott, 7; Weymer, 6; Gates, 5; Canning, 4; Barry, 3; Farnham, 2; and Perkins, bow.

Watts was stroke of the University shell until the recent shake-up following the resignation of Coach Stephens. Last year he captained the Freshman eight. Gates and Weymer have rowed for two years on the Second University crew, while Fanning, Perkins, and Barry were members of the same boat last spring.

Both the University and Freshmen crews rowed six miles downstream today. The stroke was seldom raised above a paddle and Coach Haines had no comment to make when his launch docked following the workout.
