BOWDOIN BLANKED ON COURTS WITHOUT WINNING SINGLE SET

Freshmen Netmen Will Journey To Andover Today

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The University tennis team blanked the Bowdoin netmen yesterday afternoon, winning all the six matches which were played in straight sets. The work of the Crimson men was so uniformly good that no one player can be singled out as the particular star of the meet. Since Bowdoin had only four men the meet had to be cut down to six matches.

The summary: Singles, J. F. W. Whitbeck '27 defeated Hill, 6--0, 6--2; G. H. Perkins '26 defeated Toleman, 6--0, 6--0; L. H. Gordon '27 defeated Soley, 6--1, 6--1; P. M. Lenhart '26 defeated Counolly, 6--1, 6--0; doubles, J. F. W. Whitback '27 and L. H. Gordon '27 defeated Hill and Toleman, 6--3, 75; G. H. Perkins '26 and L. O. Pratt '26 defeated Soley and Connolly, 63, 62.

This afternoon the Freshmen players will journey to Andover for their third game of the season. The Blue team is unusually strong this year, Luce, their number 1 man, being last year's champion in the Harvard Interscholastic meet.
