GRAYSON WINS MEDAL, DOYLE SECOND, IN FRENCH CONTEST
In the Concours Oratoire Pour la Medaille France-Amerique, held in the Music Building yesterday, C. S. M. Grayson '27 was awarded the medal. J. M. Doyle '27 received honorable mention at the same time.
Professor Alfred Jeanroy presided over the meeting that heard three other speakers besides the winner and the runner-up. Professor Albert Sauvan, Mr. A. R. Palmountain, and Mr. E. L. Raiche of the French Department, were the judges.
Grayson, the winner, spoke on "La dette Francaise aux Elats Unis", while Doyle dealt with "La France et Locarno."
Other speakers and their subjects were as follows. W. F. Nash '26, L'Ecrivain francais d'aujourd'hui; R. S. Coolidge '27, "L'accord economique franco-allemande"; R. G. Fiske '28, "La Dette des Etats-Unis a la France vers 1888."
