That last week, the largest total of subscriptions to the Harvard Fund since the Fund was launched, was recorded by the Council, and that yesterday was the biggest single day which the Fund has yet had, was the statement from the Fund office yesterday evening.
During the week ending Saturday May 22, $10,003.50 were received in subscriptions, making an increase of 150 per cent over the next best previous week. The amounts of the subscriptions ranged from $1 at one extreme to $1000 at the other.
Yesterday the total amount of subscriptions surpassed by a great deal the sum received on any other single day. One hundred and twelve men gave yesterday, amassing a total of $2699.50.
