As the result of a meeting of the lacrosse team, held immediately after the close of the Yale game, Merrill Winslow Linn '27, of Lewisburg, Pa., was elected captain of the team for next year. At the same time, Madison Sayles '27 of Belmont, was awarded the smaller of the Morgan Lacrosse Cups, and won the right to have his name engraved on the other.
Linn, who will lead the team next year, has played excellently at the position of second defense during the past season. He has started in every game this spring, and has shown himself to be one of the strongest men on the defense in late years.
Sayles, who has played this year at the position of second attack, has proved to be a most valuable addition to the team. With little experience in the game before this season, he has in a short space of time become one of the outstanding players on the team.
The Morgan Lacrosse Cups were donated a number of years ago by James Placidus Morgan '11.
