Downing the Newton High tennis team yesterday afternoon on the Waban courts by a 5 to 0 score, the 1929 racquetmen added another to their already considerable list of victories. The meet was played between four men teams, and one of the doubles matches had to be called while the first set was still in progress.
B. H. Whitbeck, the Freshman captain, furnished the best exhibition of tennis of any of the Crimson players, by defeating Turner, Newton's Number 1 man. Turner was one of the finalists in the last spring, and is again among the leaders of the schoolboy court ranks this year.
