HORWEEN ENDS SPRING SEASON WITH GAME--LEAVES FOR HOME

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The University football squad wound up its three weeks of spring practice yesterday afternoon with a regular four period game. Several members of the new football Advisory Committee, including J. W. Farley '99, Chairman of the Committee, were spectators of the first contest held under the regime of Coach Arnold Horween '21.

The teams picked by Coach Horween to battle each other were so evenly matched that a single field goal was the margin of victory. The outfit which was called "Michigan' won by this scant margin over the "Dartmouth" combination. Sayles' drop kick in addition to winning for his team was the only score of the game.

The periods which were played were 6 minutes each, and in spite of the warm weather the men showed no unusual fatigue, and no injuries were suffered.

Horween is returning to his home in Chicago today and its not expected back in Cambridge until the opening of football practice next September.
