At a luncheon to be held at the Union on Saturday, Rennic Smith, a member of the English Parliament, will speak on the recent labor strike. The luncheon, to be held at 1 o'clock, will be under the joint auspices of the Harvard Union and of the Liberal Club, it having been felt that due to the limited space of the Liberal Club building, the large audience which is expected might be better accommodated in the dining room of the Union.
Mr. Smith is the only member of Parliament attached to the Labor Party who is in this country. He has been in America for about six months, an during the fall, spoke at the Liberal Club. At this time, he discussed the labor problem, and prophesied the situation which has obtained during the past week.
In addition to speaking on the recent strike, Mr. Smith will probably touch upon the question of workers' education, a subject in which he is much interested.
