WARBASSE TO SPEAK ON COOPERATIVE MOVEMENT

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

J. P. Warbasse, President of the American Cooperative League will speak at the Liberal Club at 1.30 o'clock today on the "Future of the Cooperative Movement in America."

The Cooperative Movement, which is making rapid progress in the western agricultural states of this country, is an attempt to eliminate the middle men's profits by direct selling and buying from producer to ultimate consumer. This system has been particularly successful in the dairy business.

In Russia the movement was started before the Revolution in 1917 and has received and added impetus under the Soviet regime. The cooperative plan has also been found highly useful in Denmark.
