FRESHMAN CREW RACE WITH GROTON POSTPONED A WEEK

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Freshman crew race with Groton which was scheduled for Saturday has been postponed a week, it was announced by Coach Haines yesterday.

Coach Haines also said that the trial race between the present second and third Freshman crews to determine which shall oppose Groton will be held next Tuesday.

In a recent trial over a short distance the third boat won handily and now seems the likely entrant in the first test of the season.

The first 1929 crew, which has remained intact since it first went on the water a month ago, has done no racing as yet. Following Coach Haines' system of having several temporary captains before the regular one is chosen, C. McK. Norton has been acting captain of the first shell for the last week.
