Motter Ella Reeves Bloor, widely known as "the stormy petrel of Passaic" will be the guest of the Liberal Club at luncheon today. Mother Bloor, who has been prominent in the Workers' Party for several years, has recently been active in the textile strike in Passaic.
She worked for some time as a strike promoter and then left Passaic to lecture in various cities on the conditions and disturbances there.
With the arrest of Alberst Weisbord, a graduate of the Harvard Law School and the present strike leader in Passaic, last Saturday and his impending trial, the prolonged strike has reached a climax of general interest.
Mother Bloor in her talk today will describe the conditions which the mill hands are fighting to better, and give the workers' version of the stormy riots which have broken out several times within the last few weeks.
