8 Takeaways From Harvard’s Task Force Reports
An increase in the scope of the University Appointment Office was the leading note in the report of Dean C. H. Moore '89 on the work of the Office for the year 1924-25.
Dean Moore says in this connection, "It will be observed that there has been an increase in the number of positions filled in colleges and universities, the number rising from 126 in 1923-24 to 146 in 1924-25; but that on the other hand the number of positions in secondary schools has fallen from 35 in private schools during 1923-24 to 25 last year, and from 5 in the public schools during 1923-24 to 4 in 1924-25. The aggregate salaries reported show an increase of $32,640. To the total of salaries reported as earned in schools should be added the earnings by graduates as tutors, $6,247.63."
