A competition for second assistant football manager will begin today with a meeting to be held at the H. A. A. at 1.30 o'clock, according to an announcement made yesterday by Manager J. R. Burke '27. The competition is open to all Freshmen whether or not they took part in the 1929 football competition last fall. It is an interesting fact, shown by the records of past years, that the winner of the fall Freshman competition will be by a foregone conclusion, the winner of the contest which opens today.

The aspirants for the position of second assistant football manager will have two days' work this week to prepare for the spring practice which will start on April 26. The competition will last for three weeks of practice, after which there will be a cut and from four to six men will be picked to return for the rest of the contest next fall. The entire competition ends on the night of the Yale game.
