Robert S. Hillyer '17, of the English Department, will speak at the Liberal Club at 1.20 o'clock today on the "Now Sentimentalism in Literature." Mr. Hillyer, who has been known as a poet, beyond the range in which his teaching influence has been felt, was recently appointed assistant professor of English at Trinity College. Since this appointment does not go into effect until next fall, he is at present continuing his instruction in English 16, a course on the History and Principles of English Versification, formerly given by Dean Briggs.
Among the latest volumes of verse published by Mr. Hillyer are "The Hills Give Promise", "The Coming Forth of Day", and "The Halt in the Garden".
