Just one week previous to the Junior Dance at Memorial Hall, the Hasty Pudding Club and the Union will give their annual Spring dances.
The Hasty Pudding Dance will be held on Friday, March 12 at the club house on Holyoke Street. The dance will begin at 9.30 o'clock and last until 3 o'clock. It will be arranged after the manner of a rustic dance and all members of the Hasty Pudding and Institute of 1770, graduates included, are invited.
J. H. Moynahan '23, and his eight-piece orchestra will furnish the music for the dance. The handling of the decorations will be in charge of Brock Bros. and will be in keeping with the rustic nature of the affair. As in former years, the ladies will receive as favors Hasty Pudding medals with gold and white ribbons attached.
Cassatt Appointed Chairman
The committee in charge of the dance is composed of A. J. Cassat '27, chairman; N. S. Howe '26, J. R. Burke '27, G. D. Braden '26, B. Scudder '27, C. S. Gross '27. Members who are to attend the dance and those who intend to invite girls are requested to send their applications to Cassatt at the Hasty Pudding immediately, in order that tickets may be sent them and invitations to the girls.
The following ladies have consented to be patronesses:
Mrs. Robert Emmons, Mrs. Augustin Parker, Mrs. Julian Coolidge, Mrs. Paul Hamien, Mrs. Frederick Stone, Mrs. Hugh Scott, and Mrs. Robert Gross.
The annual Spring Dance at the Union will also take place on March 12, and will last from 10 until 2 o'clock. Unlike the other dances given at the Union this year, it is planned to make this a small one. Only the big living room will be used for dancing; the smaller one will be at the service of those who want to sit out. The number of guests will be limited to 450, so, the management has requested that all those who expect to attend sign up for tickets before March 10. Tickets will go on sale in the Union today, and will cost $3,00 for stags and $5.00 for couples.
Contrary to custom, also, the guests will be treated to the excellence of home talent in the matter of music. The Crimson Ramblers, will undertake the responsibility of providing adequately stimulating harmony.
