MALICK WINS CAPTAINCY OF 1927 BASKETBALL QUINTET

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

John Schuyler Malick '27, of Cincinnati, Ohio, was elected captain of the 1927 basketball team at a meeting of the letter men yesterday.

Malick, who prepared at Franklin Academy, in Cincinnati, played on his Freshman basketball team and made his letter on the University team last year. This year he has played regularly at right guard. He was also on the University football squad last fall.

Although the season's record of eight wins and four defeats is not particularly impressive, the team won all of its important games. Included in the list of Crimson victims are Yale, Brown, Dartmouth, Williams, and Worcester.

With four letter men, J. D. Leekley '27, Kenneth Dorn '27, W. Van A. Coombs '27, and J. N. Barbee '28 returning next year and an especially strong Freshman team to draw from, the prospect of a successful season next year is considered particularly good.
