The University polo team was eliminated from the Class A National Handicap Tournament in New York City on Saturday night. Its conqueror was the New York Athletic Club which proved its superiority by a decisive 15 to 2 1-2 score. The game was played in the 105th Field Artillery Armory in New York and was as one-sided as the score indicates.
The University riders entered the contest with a 16-goal handicap, but their opponents had a one goal advantage. The class was open only to teams with a 13-goal handicap or more.
Captain R. A. Pinkerton '27, at back Alexander Shaw '28, at number 2, and F. D. Stranahan Jr. '26, at number one, each scored one goal. Pinkerton made one foul, however, which reduced the Harvard score by half a goal.
