de Bosis to Lecture on Middle Ages

Dr. Lauro de Bosis, Royal Commissioner of the Italian Art Exhibit in America and Director of the Classical Theatre on the Palatine in Rome, will speak on "The History of Culture in Italy:. The Reaction to the Middle Ages" this afternoon at 4.30 o'clock in the Fogg Art Museum.

In his lecture on the History of Italian Culture Dr. de Bosis will first tell of the social conditions of the middle ages. From this phase of his subject he will go to the religious and artistic revival of the eleventh and twelfth centuries. Dr. de Bosis will next explain the Italian "Communi" as the origin of modern democracy.
