With five sections of Freshman supporters to cheer them on, the undefeated 1929 hockey team will attempt to run its season's record of victories to ten, at the expense of the Eli first year skaters at 8.15 o'clock tonight on the Arena ice. The Crimson puck men will attend the 1929 mass meeting and smoker at the Union for a short time before clashing with the Blue team. Three members of the squad, Captain Tudor, Crosby, and Carlton, will figure in the election returns which will be announced at the meeting.
Beaten Only Twice
The Eli Freshman squad will arrive from New Haven this morning and will not practice before tonight's contest. The Bulldog 1929 skaters have been handicapped heavily this season by the lack of practice facilities. In their last game, which they played last week against the Tiger Freshmen, the Blue team dropped a 7 to 4 decision in a rough contest. The second loss suffered by the visitors this season came two weeks ago when the St. Pauls School six downed them by a 2 to 1 score. Last week the Crimson Freshmen defeated the same schoolboy ice squad by a one goal margin scored by Captain Tudor, the speedy 1929 wing.
Tickets ranging in price from eighty-five cents to $1.65 in the five reserved sections, are going rapidly although there are still some to be had at the H. A. A. The mass meeting tonight will start promptly at 6.30 o'clock and end at 7.30 o'clock in order that the members of the Freshman class may reach the Arena for the start of the game. Features of the meeting will be the announcement of the vote for class officers, a speech by a Yale alumnus, music by the Gold Coast Orchestra, refreshments, cigarettes and pipe tobacco, and special 1929 ash trays to be furnished by Arthurs Inc.
