Harvard Students To Vote on Divestment From Israel in Inaugural HUA Election Survey
Swarthmore, Pa., December 12--The results of the annual election of Rhodes scholars were announced today by President Frank Aydelotte of Swarthmore College, the American Secretary to the Rhodes Trustees. Thirty-two men were picked to enter Oxford in October, 1927, from a group of 372 candidates who competed for the scholarships this year. Of these Andrew Vincent Corry of Butte, Montana, a graduate of the University in the class of 1926 and at present a student in the Graduate School, was the only Harvard man to win one of the scholarships.
Of the 31 other men three were chosen from Princeton, giving that University the honor of beng the only one from which more than a single student was selected. The others were picked from various colleges and universities throughout the country.
