CERCLE FRANCAIS WILL PLAY MOLIERE'S L'AVARE

The Cercle Francais will present for its annual dramatic offering this year Moliere's "L'Avare." This classic comedy of the 17th century will be staged at Jordan Hall in Boston, on Wednesday evening, December 1, at 8.30 o'clock.

Four University students from France have been assigned leading roles in the play this year. Inasmuch as the play will be given in the original French, the production will profit by the innovation of having actual Frenchmen in the three principle male parts.

Perrin Coaches Acting

Ernest Perrin of the Theatre des Varieties of Paris and of the New England Conservatory of Music, who has coached the Cercle players for many years in the past will again have charge of the dramatic instruction.

Y. H. Buhler '20 will have the role of "Happagon", the leading character, F. W. Coudert '30 and Guy de la Groudiere '30 will have the other principle male leads.

Rehearsals are now being held daily at the Cercle Francais room in Grays Hall and at regular, intervals in Boston. Intensive work will be continued from now until December 1 at which time the play debut in Boston.
