Former Princeton football stars donned uniforms this afternoon in scrimmage against the University team. Wynne, Keek, Wittmer. Gornam, Giloy, Baker and Dickinson joined the scrubs.
The University line-up was: Prendergast. Caulkins. Miles and Baruch backs. and Stanson. Darby, Davis Bantwell, Blake, French and Mooser in the line.
When the original first team combination had scored twice, a new backfield went in, composed of Strubing, Jones, Bridges, and Willauet, with scarcely any abatement in pace, this combination marched the ball for a score. Norman, Desston. Ewing, and Requardt were later able to repeat the performance.
Both the first line and the line which followed it showed a powerful offense in opening up gaps in the opposing wall for their backs to run through for substantial gains. On the defense the scrubs. -with Wittmer Gilroy, Gorman and Glick carrying the ball, were unable to make gains through them. The scrubs used Harvard plays.
