FOURTH ESTATE LOSES OPENING LEAGUE TILT

APTHORP APOSTATES DEADLOCKED WITH HOLY ROLLERS

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

A ninety-yard dash for a touchdown in the last minute of play did not save the Fourth Estate from going down to defeat before the league-leading Randolph Ramblers in their touch football game yesterday. It was the opening engagement for the Fourth Estate, who were handicapped by the absence of two regulars.

In the other encounter of the afternoon, the Apthorp Apostates and the Holy Rollers played a 1 to 1 tie, and the Missionaries won by default from the Gore Hall Gadflies.

The league-standing follows:   Won  Lost  Tied Randolph Ramblers  2  0 Dark Horses  2  0 Mit Six Odders  1  0 Missionaries  1  0 Pleiades  1  0 Holy Rollers  1  1  1 Apthorp Apostates  0  1  1 Fourth Estate  0  1 Gore Hall Gadflies  0  2 Seven Saints  0  2
