Dr. E. A. Lowe, Lecturer in Palaeography at Oxford University, will lecture at the Fogg Art Museum Tuesday, November 2, at 4.30 o'clock on "Modern Forgeries of Ancient Texts." Dr. Lowe received his Ph.D. from Muniched niversity in 1907, was Fellow of the American Academy, Rome, from 1907 to 1910, and has been lecturer at Oxford since 1913. He has been Research Associate of the Earhegie Institution at Washington since 1911.
Among Dr. Lowe's published works are "The Beneventan Script" and "The Bobbio Missal," commentaries on some notable ancient classics. He has also contributed historical, classical and theological reviews to contemporary periodicals. In 1922 Dr. Lowe discovered and published an unknown 6th Century fragment of Pliny's letter a find of considerable historic and literary value.
