The Northeastern University soccer team engaged the University seconds in an encounter on Soldier's Field yesterday afternoon and defeated them, 3 to 0. The seconds, although putting up a stiff, fight, were out-classed, and the visitors clearly earned their victory.

Only one goal was scored in the first half, when Bury, playing right inside forward for Northeastern, took a pass from a teammate and booted the sphere through the bars. In the second half Bury scored, again, from a scrimmage in front of the goal, and Hess added a third point to his teams total late in the period.

These two scorers starred for Northeastern, while Beals played well for the University seconds.

The University team will play a practice game with the booters from Massachusetts Institute of Technology this afternoon M. I. T. has to its credit a victory over the strong Springfield eleven, with which the University played a 2 to 2 tie two weeks ago, and is rated as a powerful aggregation.

Score, Northeastern 3, Harvard 2nds 0. Goals, Bury 2, Hess. Referee, White, Time, four 15-minute periods.
