Retains Second Place by 15 to 6 Victory

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

By a 15 to 6 victory over the Standish Hall eleven yesterday afternoon, Smith Hall's gridiron representatives, retained second place in the standing in the interdormitory football series.

The winners scored in the first quarter when a Standish back fumbled, and was tackled behind his own goal line for a safety. A five-yard buck by Oettinger, Smith quarterback, after a sustained of fense, produced a touchdown in the second period, while Hardy, playing at half-back, got away on a thirty-yard run for Smith's last score in the third quarter.

The lone Standish score came in the last minute of play, when a back broke through the Smith line. Thinking that the whistle had blown, the Smith defense made no attempt to stop the runner, who ran fifteen yard for a touchdown.
