The first public lecture of the Charles Eliot Norton Professor of Poetry at Harvard will be given tonight in Sanders Theatre at 8 o'clock. Professor Gilbert Murray, Regius Professor of Greek at Oxford University, is the first incumbent of the professorship established by the Late C. C. Stillman '98, of New York City. His first lecture will be on the subject of "Tradition."
