"The Splendid" restaurant on Harvard Square has been sold to the Georgian Cafeteria Company, according to an announcement made by the latter organization yesterday afternoon.
It is expected that workmen will start installing the Georgian system, similar to that in the Dunster Street restaurant, on Monday morning so that the place can be opened for business the first week in February.
The introduction of the Georgian system in the "Splendid" restaurant should relieve a good part of the congestion which has been present around the Square during the luncheon hour, as this method of self-service is considerably speedier than the more ordinary single counter service.
