"Resolved, That the growth and activities of the socialist movement are detrimental to social progress" will be the subject for the Oxford-Harvard debate to be held on October 16 at Symphony Hall.
According to an announcement issued by D. W. Chapman '26, President of the Debating Council, today is the last opportunity for new men to join the squad. The debating squad has been practicing since Monday, September 21. Members of the graduate schools and undergraduate members of the Debating Council, however, may still try out for the team. For this purpose a meeting will be held at 7 o'clock this evening in Emerson C. Those who attend the meeting will not be required to speak.
