DEAN BRIGGS ENTERTAINED BY MEMBERS OF ENGLISH 5

Twenty-eight past and present members of English 5 gathered at an informal dinner given for Dean Briggs last night in the Aesculapian Room of the Harvard Club of Boston. There were no formal speeches. The evening was spent in an exchange of anecdotes about Dean Briggs, Harvard, and the world in general.

Dinners of this sort have been given to Dean Briggs annually by members of English 5. This is his last year in charge of the course.

John Marshall '25 and B. J. Whiting '25 superintended the arrangements for the dinner.
