For the benefit of the throngs of alumni and undergraduates who are planning to attend the New London classic between the oarsmen of Harvard and Yale on Friday the New Haven Railroad announced today that a special train, consisting of parlor cars, a dining car, and coaches will be operated from Boston to New London on that date.
The special train will leave South Station at 1.30 o'clock, Eastern Standard Time and Back Bay Station at 1.35 o'clock, stopping only at Providence en route to New London. Returning, the special train will leave New London immediately after the return of the Observation Train from the Varsity Race and will stop at Providence and Back Bay.
The usual observation train affording an unobstructed view of the races will be operated for the Freshman and Second Varsity races in the morning and for the Varsity Race in the afternoon. For the Varsity Race the Observation Train will leave New London station at 4.30 o'clock, Eastern Standard Time.
