Dr. Major Named Noble Lecturer

Dr. Henry D. A. Major, principal of Ripon Hall, Oxford, has been appointed as William Belden Noble Lecturer for 1925-26, according to an announcement made by the University yesterday.

Dr. Major will arrive in this country about the middle of November and will deliver six lectures on English Modernism. These will probably take place on Tuesday and Friday evenings of three successive weeks. On Sunday, December 6, Dr. Major will preach at the University Chapel, and the following week will conduct morning prayers in Appleton Chapel.
