8 Takeaways From Harvard’s Task Force Reports
A second record for early and intensive football practice was set at Soldiers Field yesterday when a practice game between teams A and B of the University Football squad featured the afternoon's workout. This game, following several days of unusually early scrimmaging, sets another record for the early rounding into condition of the squad.
Due to the essentially secret nature of the practice the coaches would not reveal the line-ups or scores of the two opposing teams, declaring that the line ups were of no significance, first team regulars being mixed with substitutes on both teams. Nothing of the methods of play used was revealed, except that no punting was permitted in the game.
During the afternoon Stafford injured his shoulder slightly, but the injury is not serious and he is expected back on the field Monday.
