The University golf team scored a 6 to 3 victory over Williams on Saturday in a match played on the Weston Golf Club links.
The team, composed of Hodder, Mapes, Stimpson, Barnum, Soule, and Cole, dropped but two of the individual matches and one of the foursomes. Hodder lost to Comstock three and one, throwing away two strokes on a buried ball, and Barnum lost to Haley three and two.
Mapes won over Straiton five and four; Stimpson defeated Blaney three and two; Soule came in two up on Bicknell; and Cole beat Hargraves six and four.
In the foursomes, the only match lost was the contest between Stimpson and Barnum, and Blaney and Haley. This the Williams combination won, two and one.
