1928 TRACK MEN DEFEAT ANDOVER

The 1928 track team opened its outdoor season at Andover Saturday afternoon in defeating the school team by the comfortable margin of 70 6-7 to 55 1-7. Contrary to Coach Farrell's expectation that field events would be the Freshman weakness, the 1928 athletes made practically a clean sweep of the weights but were held to a draw on the track.

Burns in the sprints and O'Neil in the middle distance runs were the main factors in holding up the Crimson honors on the track. Pratt shone in the field by winning both the shot-put and hammer throw and placing third in the discus.

Lomasney, a newcomer to Coach Farrell's ranks, surprised the field by capturing first place in the broad jump and third in the low hurdles.
