CRIMSON OARSMEN LEAVE TO INVADE NAVY WATERS

The University crew squad, consisting of 11 oarsmen, a rigger, Manager Blanchard, and Coach Stevens left Boston at 7.30 o'clock last night for Annapolis, where the Crimson eight will race the Naval Academy and Syracuse tomorrow afternoon. The Cambridge squad will not arrive in Annapolis in time for a morning row, but Captain Kelley's eight will go over the course this afternoon for its only row before the race tomorrow.

Practice yesterday was moved ahead two hours in order to give the crew management time to pack the Pocock shell for shipment on the same train which the oarsmen took. Captain Kelley's crew rowed yesterday at 3.30 o'clock, going over the mile and three-quarter Basin course in a time trial. While Coach Stevens refused to give the time made, he announced that he was very pleased with the showing of the crew, and considered that the University boat stood an excellent chance of coming through a winner in its second race of the year.

Class Crews Race Tomorrow

Blue-tipped oars made their initial 1925 appearance on the Charles yesterday afternoon, when the Championship Junior Class crew, and the Eli Freshman 150-pound boat went out for short spins. The Yale eights will race the Crimson Class and 1928 lightweight crews tomorrow afternoon in the final events of the Harvard Invitation Regatta program.
