WATTS, FRESHMAN STROKE, ELECTED CAPTAIN OF CREW

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

At a meeting of the first Freshman crew after a practice spin yesterday afternoon, John Watts of Morristown, N. J., was elected captain of the 1928 crew. Watts prepared at St. Paul's, where he rowed as stroke of the school crew for three years.

He won his numerals at left defense on the undefeated 1928 hockey team when Yale was beaten 2 to 0. Throughout the Spring he has stroked the 1928 Blue crew and on May 9 he stroked the Freshmen in their first race, that against Cornell, M. I. T. and Pennsylvania.
