SECOND NINE FACES BRIDGEWATER

Cordingley and Hoffman Will Probably Compose Battery

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

With less than two weeks left before the Yale game, the Second baseball team will attempt to add another opponent to its string of victories this afternoon at 4 o'clock, when it opposes the Bridgewater Normal School nine on Soldiers Field. Exeter is the only outfit to have humbled Coach Lake's Seconds so far, and it seems more than possible that the Second team may meet Yale with but one defeat on its record.

Cordingley is the probable starter for the Seconds on the mound today. This will be the first time he has worked for the Seconds this year, and with Hoffman behind the bat, he is expected to hold the Normal School batters in check. Knowlton is out of the game with a cold, and his place at second will be filled by Slayton.

Coach Lake's nine will go on the field today with a leader for the first time. M. F. Amsden '25 has recently been elected captain of the outfit and will pilot his team from his position in left field. Amsden has been with the Seconds for three years and was one of the squad's batting leaders last year.
